Alumni Reunion Events The Association is the parent organization for the annual Bobcat Bolt 5K/10K road race and Oyster River Festival. These two events occur on the same day/location and serve both as an all-alumni reunion and as a wider Durham area community event.  Click on the links for more details. The ORAA will also help individual ORHS classes with their reunions by being a resource for contact information and advertising. ORHS Graduation Ceremony Since the inception of the ORAA in 2005, ORAA Executive Director Anita Mathur has given an Alumni Association speech to graduating seniors during graduation rehearsal.  Seniors are given alumni association business cards as they cross the podium to welcome them to their new alumni status!   Professional Day OR Alumni return to Oyster River to talk to students about career choices.  The inaugural professional day was held at the Oyster River 50th Anniversary celebration and was a huge success.  We hope to continue Professional Day on an annual basis, perhaps in conjunction with the Oyster River Festival.
