Peter Grant was a member of ORHS Class of 1992. He passed away at the age of 30 from Melanoma. Peter had an adventurer’s soul. He was equally willing to dive into a physics or engineering problem as to windsurf into a coming hurricane or re-tackle a rock cliff after a fall. For those of us who knew him, Peter simply redefined what was possible. It is our hope that this fund will nurture new adventurers to follow in Peter’s wide-ranging footsteps. Donations to this fund will support after school science clubs at ORHS/ORMS and an outing club at ORMS.
Pam Raiford worked in the Social studies department at Oyster River High School for 22 years, simultaneously teaching, at times, at UNH. In 2013 she won the State of NH Teacher of the Year award for history and in 2014 she was recognized by UNH for her excellent work, delivering a speech to the graduates in the Masters of Education department. Her work as a teacher, and who she was as a person, will continue to reverberate profoundly throughout the world.
Donations in memory of ORHS social studies teacher Pam Raiford will fund two programs at ORHS that Pam was connected with: The ORHS "Power of One" program and the Ultimate Frisbee Club!
