ORHS Hygiene Pantry FOR HomelesS Students

School districts throughout the nation work with students and families who experience homelessness. Since the beginning of the 2023-24 school year, Oyster River has seen the number of students experiencing homelessness more than double. As a district Oyster River has directed more support to  homeless students and have found new ways to address educational barriers and challenges created by homelessness. 

A new addition to the supports is a hygiene pantry at the high school for students in need. The Oyster River Alumni Association is helping the district stock the ORHS student hygiene pantry by creating an Amazon Wish List that people can use to make product donations.
