Classroom LibrarY diversity Project

About the Classroom Library Diversity Project

Each Language Arts teacher at Oyster River Middle School has his/her own classroom library that serves the purpose of inspiring students to read a diverse selection of books that they might not encounter as easily at the school library. The ORMS Language Arts program is looking to expand and update its classroom library collections with books from diverse authors.

The 2nd grade team at Mast Way Elementary School is also looking for more diverse picture books for both classroom libraries and guided reading.

The teachers at ORMS and Mast Way have thoughtfully created these Wish Lists. Please consider making a purchase of one or more of these wonderful books for your favorite teacher! What a great holiday gift!
